Born from the Need
for a Better Brake
When CLIMB Works opened in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 2010, our founder Donny Hackett saw a critical gap in zipline braking technology. The existing solutions weren't good enough. So he built something better.
ZIPKEA was born out of necessity — a self-contained braking system that doesn't rely on guides to manually brake riders. It's safer, more consistent, and gives operators peace of mind.
